Internet Property Brokers was founded on the principles of excellent communication, attention to detail, and willingness to listen and fully understand a client’s needs and wants.
The old adage of “seek first to understand before you seek to be understood” rings true and is the mantra by which we operate. Our president comes from the world of sales and marketing and has years of experience in the automotive and real estate realm. Our Vice President brings a vast knowledge of the world of e-commerce and SEO tactics and has been a very successful entrepreneur. The combination of the two makes for a very formidable management team well versed in expert negotiations, marketing, valuation, and analysis.
Throughout the process of trying to sell several e-commerce sites of our own (prior to forming IPB), we realized that many of the internet business brokers with whom we talked were slow to respond, difficult to reach via phone and email, and overcharged for the poor service they were providing. Our main concern was if they were slow to respond (if at all) to us, what was happening when they received inquiries about a business or domain that was listed for sale? Were they really doing their clients justice? We also ran into the same issue when trying to buy other e-commerce sites to add to our portfolio. The end result was a decision that there had to be a better way to serve buyers and sellers in this marketplace.
Internet Property Brokers operates a bit differently than many more traditional website brokerages. We exist to find buyers for sellers and sellers for buyers. We are not attorneys and do not offer any legal advice regarding the sale or purchase of a business. In every transaction with which we have been associated, the process of closing and contractual paperwork has been handled by outside attorneys. We feel this is the best process for both buyers and sellers, and insures protection for each side of the transaction. There is nothing more dangerous than an individual or company acting like an attorney when they are not educated, experienced, or licensed in that discipline. We believe in letting the experts handle the legalese and focusing our time and energy on finding that perfect seller to match with that perfect buyer…..think of it as matchmaking on a business level.
